Since 2016, Green Lake Conference Center has led the largest program of restoration since the Lawson-era buildings were constructed. In 2022, the Preserve Lawson Landmarks team joined the initiative and the projects they funded and led are marked PLL. All of  Green Lake Conference Center and Preserve Lawson Landmarks work has been achieved by donations of money and time to restore the buildings and walls for their next 100 years of life.
2025
  • New Ludowici tile roof, balcony drainage, and concrete restoration at Kimen-Pearsall (formerly Teen) Tower. (PLL)
2024
  • Restoration of the Grape Arbor. New Douglas fir beam structure added with metal caps.  Repairs to the stone walls above the grape arbor. Read more: Grape Arbor beam structure restored
  • Builders Tower restored, including a new roof. (PLL)​
2023
  • Guild Prayer Tower renovated with restored roof, concrete repair, and landscape clean-up. Heifer Tower near the prairie restored including a new roof. (All PLL)
  • Repairs to the stone work at the Lawson greenhouse, including saving the chimney.
2022
  • Damaged wood roof structure recreated and new roof installed on Prospect Tower. Stone cleaned, and concrete work and drainage of the walls and deck surfaces improved. (PLL)
2021
  • Replaced roof on the Tea House, using period-appropriate terracotta roof shingle colors
2020
  • Lawson-era benches repainted and some relocated to main conference area
2019
  • Replaced roofs on the World Mission building and Idris Jones buildings above the grape arbor, using period-appropriate terracotta roof shingle colors  
2017-18
  • Replaced roofs and restored siding & glazing on Combination barn, hay shed barn, straw shed barn and gas station barn by the front gates
  • Restored the metal front gates, rebuilding broken/missing finials and applying a 50-year black epoxy finish
  • Renovated Spurgeon Chapel 
2016
  • Installed new drainage system at the bottom of the brick parking lot and on the terrace above the Grape Arbor
  • Filled a 5’ cavity under the steps and repaired the terrace
1999
  • Greenhouse west wing rebuilt and existing building reconstructed; new glass panels installed; a system for climate control  added
