Barns
There are many historic barns on the property that were built by the Lawsons between 1904-1916. They include the Carpenter barn, hay shed barn, straw shed barn, gas station barn and William Carey barn. In 2017 restoration began on all four barns. Siding was restored and repainted with restorative paint that puts oil back into the natural woods. The iconic Palladin doors on the Carpenter were restored, and the glazing was restored pane by pane, using the old techniques. Beautiful 5 1/2" overlapped cedar roofs were installed to specifications even better than the original. They have a gorgeous look and provide another 100 years of life, offering great beauty at the Conference Center's entrance.
